On April 27, CHRISTIAN SCHMITT performed the world premiere of a new organ concerto by Toshio Hosokawa especially written for him at the Konzerthalle Bamberg.
The piece is a commissioned composition from the Bamberger Symphoniker, Kölner Philharmonie (KölnMusik), Philharmonie Luxembourg & Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg and the Wiener Konzerthausgesellschaft, sponsored by the Ernst von Siemens-Musikstiftung.
A further performance will follow in Vienna with the Radio Symphonieorchester Wien.
