Yue Bao to conduct Haydn, Mozart, Bologne, and Still with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra

Conductor Yue Bao will debut with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in four concerts with cellist Pablo Ferrández as soloist.

The program includes Symphony No. 2, Op. 2 by Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges; Concerto for Cello and Orchestra in C Major by Joseph Haydn; Danzas de Panama by William Grant Still; and Symphony No. 35 in D Major, K. 385 “Haffner” by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. The concerts will take place on May 5 at 7:30 p.m. at The Berman Center for the Performing Arts in West Bloomfield, May 6 at 8 p.m. at Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Livonia, May 7 at 8 p.m. at Kirk in the Hills Presbyterian Church in Bloomfield Hills, and May 8 at 3 p.m. at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Grosse Pointe.
