Jan Lisiecki’s latest recording, in which he leads the Academy of St Martin in the Fields from the piano in all five Beethoven concertos, has been nominated for the 2020 JUNO Awards in the category Classical Album of the Year: Large Ensemble.
The album was recorded live over the course of a few days at Konzerthaus Berlin and is the first Deutsche Grammophon release within the label’s celebration of the Beethoven Year 2020.
The JUNOS are the most significant recognition in the Canadian music industry. The award ceremony will take place on March 15 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.
