On April 27, 2019, trumpet player Tamás Pálfalvi made his Hong Kong debut with the Hong Kong Sinfonietta with conductor Chuang Tung-Chieh. He played the notoriously virtuosic Trumpet Concerto No. 2 by André Jolivet, as well as Joseph Haydn’s Trumpet Concerto in E flat. The success of the concert marks the beginning of an exciting period for Pálfalvi, which continues this summer with appearances at Aspen Music Festival, and an international tour with the Budapest Festival Orchestra in his capacity as principle trumpet.
