Yue Bao to conduct opening night of the Houston Symphony

Yue Bao, the current Conducting Fellow of the Houston Symphony, has been selected to replace music director Andrés Orozco-Estrada for the Houston Symphony’s opening night performance on September 12, 2020 at Jones Hall in Houston. She will conduct Jessie Montgomery’s Banner for String Quartet and String Orchestra on the performance which will include an in-person, socially distanced audience. Yue Bao has also led the orchestra in four Live from Jones Hall livestream concerts this past summer which featured members of the Houston Symphony. She will be featured on an additional live-stream performance on the Live from Jones Hall series on September 19, 2020.
